Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring advanced dysrhythmia competency, a KY or compact license, and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Work in a telemetry and neuro stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, neuro, renal, orthopedic, and respiratory cases
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4
• Night shifts available (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:00)
• Use of Epic EMR is required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must have experience with Epic EMR
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency assessment
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response required
• Two professional references needed for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, rapid response participation, and care for a diverse patient population
• Skills required in feeding tube management, hemodialysis care, IV therapy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, and titration of cardiac drips
• Must be able to manage CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, trauma, total joint replacements, and manage surgical drains
• Experience required for airway management, external CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Isolation precautions, wound care, and use of wound vacs are required skills
