American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Infectious Disease position on night shift, requiring an active NY RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the Infectious Disease unit within a hospital setting
• Care for a diverse Med-Surg and Infectious Disease patient population
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 on a 13-week contract
• Use of EPIC EMR is required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with required make-up shifts within six weeks

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required prior to consideration
• Minimum two years of recent experience in Med-Surg or Infectious Disease nursing
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI and provided at submission
• EPIC EMR experience required
• U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Medical exemption only for flu vaccination; facility does not accept personal or religious exemptions

Additional Information

• Competency testing required for applicants with less than two years in Med-Surg, with two attempts to pass
• No local candidates accepted from counties within a 50-mile radius, specifically named counties
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted with application
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
• Travel pairs are not permitted
