American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position with mixed acuity patient care and strong heme/oncology background required.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with hematological malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes
• Responsible for bone marrow transplant patients, including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy recipients
• Mixed acuity patient population including stepdown/progressive care and general med/surg
• Utilizes telemetry monitoring and responds to rapid response situations
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week on days (7:00-19:30) or nights (19:00-7:30), with the possibility of rotating between day and night shifts based on department needs

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg and oncology nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Experience in feeding tube care, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, PICC line management, and nasal cannula administration
• Heme oncology experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ONS Chemotherapy, and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certifications preferred but not required
