American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Cardiology Clinic position in Seattle, WA, requiring a current WA RN license and prior cardiac experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting
• Day shift schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, no weekends or holidays
• Float within skillset may be required between clinics across the state
• Patient population consists of adult cardiac patients, including LVAD and advanced cardiac support cases
• Procedures include dressing changes, aseptic setup, specimen collection, and assisting with cardiac testing
• Utilizes Epic EMR, prior Epic experience required
• Operates specialized cardiac equipment such as LVAD, CardioMEMS, EKG, and various cardiac monitors

Requirements

• Active WA RN license in hand at time of signature; compact not accepted unless specifically stated as accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an adult outpatient cardiology clinic required
• Inpatient cardiac experience required for first-time travelers
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Ability to interpret laboratory results, perform medication reconciliation, obtain vital signs, and complete detailed patient assessments
• Reliable personal transportation required for occasional assignment to different clinics

Additional Information

• Collaborate as part of the interventional pod with two RNs, three physicians, and two ARNPs
• Responsibilities include patient teaching, follow-up care, telephone triage, urgent message management, and MyChart communications
• Must be comfortable responding to urgent patient needs in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Scrubs of any color or business casual attire are acceptable
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Minimal to no RTO is preferred; any time off requests must be discussed during hiring
