American Traveler is seeking an RN for a night shift Med/Surg Observation Unit position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed observation and medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability
• Care for a diverse patient population of all ages
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Supported by patient care techs and a unit secretary
• Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs for telemetry patients
• Level I trauma center environment
• 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Must submit two professional references and a copy of driver's license for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring and communicating patient condition, and coordinating care among disciplines
• Supports patient discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and work effectively under stress
• Personal protective equipment must be used according to standard precautions
