American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Medical/Surgical position requiring an OK or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a 29-bed Medical/Surgical unit within a Level I trauma center
• Caring for a diverse adult and occasional pediatric population, including patients with telemetry orders
• Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Supported by patient care techs and a healthcare unit coordinator
• Utilization of virtual sitters and monitor techs available for telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule: 18:30-07:00

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or compact) required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience
• License and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• All clinicians must have a US Social Security Number and US home address

• Duties include implementing and monitoring care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and managing discharge planning

• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and perform effectively under stress
• Standard precautions and PPE are required for infection control
