American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Hospice position, requiring a NC or Compact license and recent Hospice field experience.

Details

• This is a Hospice Home Health nursing position covering the Durham toward Person County area
• Typical caseload is 4-5 home visits per day
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No weekend or on-call responsibilities
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are provided
• Any scrub color is permitted

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 2 years of nursing experience required, with 1 year of recent Hospice field experience preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required; exemptions or declinations are not accepted
• Full SSN and Date of Birth must be provided for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing in-home hospice care and support to patients and families
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted but must live within a 75-mile radius and will be paid a lower rate
• Modules are completed during bi-weekly orientation or the first week of assignment and are required annually
• A minimum lead time of 3 weeks is required between booking and the start date to ensure credentialing and compliance
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season (October 31 – March 31) without exceptions
