American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Unit in New York, requiring active NY RN licensure and strong de-escalation skills.

• Position is in a Behavioral Health Unit
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
• Uses Epic electronic medical record system
• Reliable daily transportation is required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent behavioral health unit experience
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult behavioral health patients
• Recent travel RN experience required
• De-escalation training and current CPI or NAPPI/Welle certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Proven experience with Epic EMR
• Own vehicle required for daily commute
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years is required

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing behavioral health care and utilizing de-escalation techniques with agitated patients
• Unit expects high reliability and patient-centered focus
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be approved
• 14-panel drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
