American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an acute Behavioral Health Unit position on the evening shift requiring a NE or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) Unit within an acute care setting
• Patient population includes young adults and other patients requiring psychiatric care, often in a lock down environment
• Evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM with every other weekend required
• 16-week contract assignment
• Uses Epic EMR for patient charting

Requirements

• Active NE or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health RN experience
• Experience with young adults preferred, but strong experience on a lock down unit will also be considered

Additional Information

• Facility provides training on safe management of agitated patients, including restraint procedures
• There is potential for temp to perm conversion, as this is a backfill and may transition to a permanent role
• Team will train new staff into unit procedures and protocols
• Every other weekend work is required
