Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position in an acute Level 1 trauma setting, requiring a ND or compact RN license and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Details

• Work in an acute care Med/Surg Neuro unit with 32 beds
• Care for both medical-surgical and neuro patients
• Level 1 trauma hospital environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
• Floats required to any Med/Surg unit across multiple hospital locations in Fargo
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a large hospital with 250+ beds
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Neuro experience preferred but not required
• Cannot consider travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessments, documentation, administering medications, and completing nursing tasks
• Must badge in and out at facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Self-scheduling allowed, but scheduling may be adjusted to meet unit needs and minimize frequent flip between day and night shifts
• Candidates with prior employment at the health system must have an end date at least 6 months before consideration
• Candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility will be considered at a reduced travel rate
