American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with WOCN certification for a Wound Ostomy Continence role utilizing Epic EMR and providing specialized care Monday through Friday.

Details

• Position based in IV Therapy/WOCN serving all inpatient units including ICU, step-down, and med/surg
• Care for patients with wounds, ostomies, drains, fistulas, and continence disorders
• Responsibilities span acute, rehabilitative, and consultative care settings
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation
• WOCN cart for dressing and ostomy care is provided
• Primary schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Limited weekend call required
• No floating to other departments but will address skin issues hospital-wide

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license in hand
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• WOCN Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of WOC nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Primary responsibilities include assessment and management of wounds, ostomies, stomas, and continence disorders
• Expected to provide education and support to patients and staff regarding skin, wound, and ostomy care
• Works collaboratively as an educator, consultant, and care provider
• Unit-specific training provided, including Epic EMR and orientation with current WOCN nurse
• Attire may be scrubs or business casual, with scrubs preferred
