Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit night shift position requiring KY or compact RN licensure, Epic charting experience, and advanced dysrhythmia interpretation.

Details

• Position based on a Telemetry unit with a primary adult and geriatric patient population
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring both on-unit and remote required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Epic EMR experience required for daily documentation
• Advanced dysrhythmia competency assessment required through EKG exam

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Minimum required experience in cardiac telemetry
• Experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
• Must have competency in blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, PICC management, IV starts, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with feeding tube management, external CPAP/BIPAP, and high flow nasal cannula required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Daily responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and care for patients with respiratory and gastrointestinal interventions
• Must adhere to isolation precaution protocols
• Will provide care for patients who have experienced CVA events
• Dress code and orientation details will be provided prior to start
• Candidates living within 75 miles are subject to local pay rates
