American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring scrub and circulate experience with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in a hospital setting
• Primarily cardiac and thoracic cases, including vascular (open and endovascular), transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas), and pancreatic (Whipple) procedures
• Scrub and circulator duties required
• Day shifts with start times of 0630, 0800, 0900, 1100, and 2300, rotating as needed
• Monday through Friday schedule with on-call required based on unit needs (3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required per call policy
• Floating within the CVOR service line required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years CVOR RN experience, or 1 year if at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Scrub and circulate experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted only with more than 2 years' Level 1 trauma facility experience
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO during orientation
• Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as travelers
• Navy scrubs are required
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break before returning
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start
