Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a night shift inpatient psychiatric position requiring a VA or compact RN license and CPI Blue certification.

Details

• Work in a 36-bed inpatient behavioral health unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Patient ratios are 1:6-7 from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm and 1:10 from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Floating required to Carilion Mental Health-Roanoke when needed, with mileage reimbursed
• EMR is Epic; Epic experience preferred
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required; pending license accepted only from non-compact states
• Current BLS certification and CPI Blue certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute required
• At least 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
