American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring 2 years of Neuro ICU and trauma center experience, with night shifts and every other weekend required.

Details

• Work in a Neuro ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
• Level I Trauma Center with a large bed capacity
• Patient ratio averages 1:2 for both day and night shifts
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating within scope to meet unit needs is expected
• Epic EMR system is used; experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license, or eligibility for one prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU nursing experience
• Experience working in a large trauma center
• Certifications required: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
• Pending license applications are accepted for consideration
• Flu vaccine is required without declination
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required, with only religious/medical exemptions accepted
• No prior issues on nursing license
• Must not have been permanent staff at the facility within the last 2 years
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility for eligibility as travelers

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing care to neurological critical care patients
• Must participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Time off requests greater than 7 days require approval; up to 7 days can be auto-approved
