Description

American Traveler is seeking a Case Manager RN with an active Alaska RN license, acute care experience, and proficiency in Epic for a dayshift position.

Details

• Work in the Case Management unit of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
• Weekend work required: every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, potentially across facilities within Alaska
• Epic EMR system is used; prior experience required
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active AK RN license in hand required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACM certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required
• Prior experience in case management strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating patient care and promoting optimal transitions across the care continuum
• Must collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• No on-call required for this position
• Minimal time off allowed; only one request up to 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday time off for auto offers
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• Returning former employees must have at least 3 months gap from prior employment and not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Level II Trauma, Magnet-accredited hospital environment
