American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with an AK RN license and Epic experience for a day shift position in an acute hospital setting.

Details

• Work in the Case Management department of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts and possible start times between 0700 and 0830
• Weekend coverage required; either every other weekend or four weekend days in a four week period
• No on-call required
• Travelers may be required to float within scope between facilities as needed
• Magnet facility with Level II Trauma designation and 407 staffed beds
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Epic is the EMR used and experience is required
• Free parking is available for staff
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active AK RN license in hand required for consideration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACM certification preferred
• Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Two supervisory references covering one year of recent employment in a comparable setting required
• SSN and Date of Birth required for consideration
• Former permanent staff must wait three months before returning as a traveler and live at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care and discharge planning
• May be expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
• Only one time off request of five days or less allowed per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Returning travelers must meet specific eligibility and radius requirements
