Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN for a day shift position in Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license, BSN, and OASIS documentation experience.

Details

• Work in a home health setting serving adult patients across Maui, with occasional coverage on Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island as needed
• Day shift schedule, working five 8-hour shifts per week
• No weekends or on-call requirements
• Required to achieve 25 units of productivity per week
• Floating to other islands may be required and all expenses will be covered

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health RN experience
• Minimum 3 months of OASIS documentation experience
• Proficient in admission assessment, case management, discharge planning, and wound care
• Experience with blood glucose monitoring, ostomy management, G-tube and NG tube care, IV administration, phlebotomy, and pain management
• Ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and coordinate services

Additional Information

• Duties include start of care visits, recertification, resumption of care, and response to significant changes in condition
• Responsible for pressure ulcer management, drain and wound V.A.C care, infection control, and administration of blood products
• Experience in monitoring chemotherapy side effects and pain/hospice care preferred
• Preferred skills include experience in psychiatric home health, tracheostomy care, and familiarity with MatrixCare documentation system
• Scrubs of any color and closed-toed shoes are required attire
