Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Operating Room night shift position requiring scrub and circulate skills and a NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric Operating Room setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Required to scrub and circulate during surgical cases
• Covers a range of cases including general surgery, urology, orthopedic, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, advanced ENT, and spine procedures
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Weekend shifts are required
• No on-call responsibility
• Scrubs are provided
• Locals are accepted at the same pay rate

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Pediatric OR nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• PALS and CNOR certifications are preferred
• Must have experience with both scrubbing and circulating in the OR
• Candidates with open or active background or license issues are not accepted
• Former employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments

• Main responsibilities include providing comprehensive perioperative care and supporting major pediatric surgical specialties
• Block scheduling requests must be submitted for approval
• Time off requests should be confirmed prior to consideration
• Epic EMR experience is valued but not explicitly required
