Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Neuro assignment requiring at least one year of neuro experience and an active compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based neurosciences unit
• Care for patients with a variety of neurological health problems, from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, four days per week
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of neuro nursing experience
• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neurological patients
• Responsible for medication administration, IV and blood product management, documentation, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
• Coordinate care and communicate treatment plans with patients and families
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must be able to respond to cultural and language needs of patients
• Team-based environment with collaboration across disciplines
