Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a skilled nursing facility setting, requiring a current or pending NY RN license.

Details

• Work in a skilled nursing facility within a long term care unit
• Night shifts are 8 hours each
• Assignment length is 16 weeks, with potential for extension up to 32 weeks
• Patient population is primarily long term care residents
• Floating to other units is required as needed
• Schedule requires a minimum of every other weekend and may be adjusted to meet unit and patient needs
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NY RN license or proof of application required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
• Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires from November to April

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available on Mondays
• No block scheduling permitted
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Work environment requires flexibility in scheduling to meet patient care needs
