Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a compact or NM RN license, prior travel experience, and advanced cardiac life support certifications.

Details

• Work in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab (CVL-Invasive) setting
• Care for cardiovascular patients undergoing invasive procedures
• Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required on nights, weekends, and holidays, with call assignments based on staffing
• Floating between departments and local sites within 20 miles is required
• EPIC EMR used; prior experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NM or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of current Cath Lab nursing experience
• Completion of at least one previous 13-week travel assignment
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross only)
• Must be a team player and adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments, implement care protocols, and document per policy
• Administer medications and assist with various procedures and surgical techniques
• Must perform competently during emergencies
• Testing on Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia is required on site during orientation, with one retake allowed
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Return policy: Former permanent staff must wait one year before being eligible as a traveler
