Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for a skilled nursing unit, requiring a current CA RN license and strong long-term care background.

Details

• Work in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week
• Supervise CNAs, LVNs, RNs, and support staff
• Care for long-term care residents in a SNF setting

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum two years of experience in a long-term care facility
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Working knowledge of Title 22, OBRA, and other relevant regulations
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred
• Must pass a nursing medical test
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsible for both direct nursing care and supervision of support staff
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities
• Requires professional, respectful interaction with residents and multidisciplinary staff
• Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care is expected
