American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a SC or compact license, 2 years of PCU experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of an acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds
• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Floating may be required within the PCU scope or to similar units as needed
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend if needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic electronic medical record system
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active SC RN or compact/multi-state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU RN experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Able to work with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Must provide driver's license and SSN for consideration
• Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must have been separated for at least 1 year
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; locals considered on a case-by-case basis

• Expected to deliver high-quality PCU nursing care to adult patients
• Must complete required facility modules prior to start
• Parking passes are provided at badge pickup with no fee, parking garages available
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of application and is subject to approval based on facility needs
• Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule
• Candidates must only apply to one facility and/or unit at a time
