Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care position in Hawaii with telemetry and step-down ICU responsibilities and a current HI RN license requirement.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
• Progressive care and cardiac nursing with telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios are 1:4 for progressive care and 1:3 for step-down ICU
• Uses Meditech for charting, Pyxis for medications, and equipment including BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Varied shifts scheduled for 36 hours per week following orientation
• Floating to all acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER is required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start date
• Minimum of 1 year recent hospital acute care experience within the last year
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Progressive care and telemetry experience preferred
• NIHSS and PALS certifications preferred
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start

Additional Information

• Duties include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring and strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing
• Orientation provided during the first week of assignment
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Scrubs are required as dress code
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before the Monday start for required Employee Health appointment
• All travelers are expected to float as needed
