American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a DC RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and at least two years of recent inpatient experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting within the Medical/Surgical Telemetry department
• Day shifts with a 3x12 hour per week schedule
• Patient population includes adults requiring acute care and telemetry monitoring
• Experience using Cerner EMR is required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required prior to start; no pending licenses permitted
• Minimum of two years' RN experience in a U.S. hospital setting
• At least one year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry inpatient experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from the AHA
• CPI certification mandated by the position
• Ability to pass a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start
• Cerner EMR experience required
• BSN degree highly desired

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and telemetry needs
• Requires submission of two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience, including one from the most recent employer
• Candidates must provide valid identification, SS card, and proof of required vaccinations including COVID and flu
• Adherence to hospital policies and procedures related to documentation and timely assessments
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility
