Description

American Traveler is seeking a Wound Care RN with active FL or compact RN license, WCC or WOCN certification, and Epic experience for a Med/Surg wound/ostomy care assignment.

Details

• Work in the Wound Care unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
• Float required for wound consults across four hospitals as needed
• Care for patients needing wound and ostomy management
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Wound Care Certified (WCC) or Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification required in hand
• Minimum 1 year of wound care nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references from supervisory staff within the last year required
• Flu vaccination required between October 31 and March 31, with medical or religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide wound and ostomy consults and care across multiple hospitals as staffing needs arise
• Work collaboratively within a team of WOCNs and per diem staff
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on unit needs with manager approval
• Open to first-time travelers
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers; no radius restriction
• Scrubs must be a solid color with matching tops and bottoms, no logos or prints, and can be self-provided or hospital-provided
• Must wait a period of 1 year after any previous internal contracted position before reapplying
• Free parking provided with a decal at orientation
