Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring at least 2 years of CVOR experience and current BLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Position is based in a Pediatric CVOR unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 to 17:00
• On-call required 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weeknights per week, totaling approximately 8-9 days per month
• Floating to different units is required depending on assignment

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience, adult or pediatric, required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment in CVOR required
• Must not have worked as a permanent employee for the health system in the past 2 years
• No local RNs permitted within a 60-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for assisting in pediatric cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Strict attendance and lateness policies are enforced, with lateness determined after 3 minutes
• Travelers should be prepared for requests to extend contracts if shifts are missed
• No call/no show incidents are handled with progressive disciplinary action
• Travelers must be flexible and adaptable to changing unit needs
