American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Step Down position, requiring MS/SD experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medicine Specialty Step Down unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes a variety of medical cases requiring step down care
• Role requires 12-hour day shifts, three days per week
• Some ICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in Med/Surg and Step Down settings
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and team members
• Good verbal and written communication skills required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Additional Information

• Deliver competent nursing care to patients with varying degrees of medical complexity
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and assist with minor diagnostic procedures
• Document patient responses and update care plans as needed
• Interact with patients and families to communicate care plans and instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
