American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position with a focus on day shifts and requiring an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in an ambulatory surgery center setting
• Operates within a surgical environment with a patient population ranging from simple to complex health issues
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Eye surgery experience is preferred
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide and document nursing care for surgical patients
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Participate in delivering patient education and share care plans with patients and families
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Contract extensions allowed up to 26 weeks, with a required 6-month break before reapplying
