American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current HI RN license and BLS certification for a variable shift hospital assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting with 6 OR suites and one dedicated C-section room
• Handles a wide range of procedures including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology cases
• Variable shifts between 0645 and 2315, scheduled 40 hours per week with possible reduction to 32 hours during holiday weeks
• On-call rotation required, averaging 1-2 times per week and up to 2 weekends per month
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call
• Uses Meditech for EMR and PYXIS for medication management

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• A minimum of 2-3 years circulating experience in a hospital OR is required
• Ability to scrub is preferred but not required
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating cases, assisting with turnover cleaning, patient transport, and scheduling cases
• Team typically runs 4 to 6 rooms simultaneously in a busy and efficient OR
• Orientation will be on day shift for up to 1 week or as decided by the manager
• Completion of a minimum of 39 shifts is required if any RTO (requested time off) is approved
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start
• Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code
