American Traveler is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) with strong abdominal transplant experience and OR leadership background for a hospital-based leadership role in New York.

Details

• Position is hospital-based within an operating room (OR) environment
• Focus on abdominal transplant patient population and surgical cases
• Full-time schedule with 8-hour day shifts or 4x10-hour shifts available
• Role includes 24/7 responsibility for a patient care unit
• Position requires oversight of nursing practice, patient care, and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
• 6-8 years of nursing experience and at least 2-5 years in OR leadership or management roles
• Minimum of 2 years’ OR nursing experience
• Experience in abdominal transplant and management required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Two professional references from managers or above within the past year in current specialty

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include team management, staff recruitment and retention, team building, and cross-training staff for scrub and circulating roles
• Leads daily operations and supports a collaborative, high-quality work environment
• Completion of required hospital training modules prior to start
• Candidates with a master’s degree in Nursing and prior experience in a quaternary care facility are preferred
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
