American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring scrub and circulate skills in complex vascular and endovascular cases.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital
• Care for patients undergoing complex open and endovascular procedures, including FEVAR, EVAR, TCAR, TEVAR, open AAA repair, thrombectomy, and AV fistulas
• Uses EPIC for charting; prior EPIC experience preferred but not required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm, scheduled Monday through Friday
• On-call required 5-8 times per month, including weekends and potential call on holidays
• Floating to like units may be required

Requirements

• Active South Carolina or compact RN license must be in hand at contract start
• Current AHA-issued certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for complex open and endovascular cases
• Radiation badge required; will be provided

• Assist with and perform scrub and circulate roles in a wide range of complex cardiovascular and endovascular procedures
• Work collaboratively within a surgical team in a high-acuity environment
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Holiday call coverage may be required as per unit needs
• Scrub attire required as per department policy
• Previous permanent staff must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius accepted on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be provided at time of application; approvals depend on department needs
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
• Parking permit available for a registration fee
