American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Critical Care Stepdown position requiring a minimum of 2 years' recent stepdown experience and advanced clinical skills.

Details

• Work in a critical care stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts per week, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• No call requirements
• Care for patients requiring monitoring with advanced equipment and specialized treatments
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care stepdown experience in a US hospital setting
• Current certifications from AHA: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI required
• Proven experience with vasoactive drips, tracheostomy vents, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and insulin drips
• Ability to pass all facility pre-employment assessments
• Primary source license verification required
• Valid US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Monitor patients using advanced equipment and promptly alert the care team to significant changes
• Administer specialty medications and treatments including use of feeding tubes and catheters
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
• Demonstrate strong decision-making, collaboration, and stress management skills
• Effective communication with both team members and patient families is essential
• References from at least one recent manager or supervisor within the past twelve months are preferred
• All certifications submitted must be AHA approved
