Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with an active AK RN license and Epic charting experience for a magnet-level acute care hospital.

Details

• Work in the Case Management department of an acute hospital setting
• Day shifts are 5x8s with start times ranging from 0700 to 0830
• Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per month are required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope to all facilities within the state as required
• Epic is used for all charting
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• ACM certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience required
• Recent experience with Epic EMR required
• Must have recent case management experience in acute care
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and are not eligible if local
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months prior to returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing care coordination and utilization review for acute care patients
• All travelers must be willing to float between facilities within the state as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Only one time off request per 13-week assignment of up to 5 days is permitted, with no holiday RTO allowed
• Holiday RTO is not permitted for auto offer positions
• Candidates must provide two supervisory references from the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting
