Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a NY license for a night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department with combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Typical patient ratios are 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating required as needed based on census
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR is used; experience with Epic is preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ER nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and management of continuous IV medications
• Experience with adult and pediatric ED patients required
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Additional Information

• Daily responsibilities include management of emergency situations, including administration of blood products, emergency medications, and procedural sedation
• Must be able to provide care for patients on isolation precautions and with central lines
• Scrub attire must be a combination of navy and white
• Minimal requests for time off will be considered
