Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with at least two years of cardiovascular OR experience and current MT or compact RN license for a busy operating room setting.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular Operating Room within a hospital environment
• Covers a variety of cases including CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATs, aortic repairs, fistulas, peripheral cases, fem-pops, and carotid endarterectomies
• No ECMO cases performed
• Handles 1-2 cases per day in the CVOR
• Shift is 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with a 7:00 AM start
• Weekend rotation is call only; call is required once every third day and every third weekend
• Backup trauma call required while on call, with a 30-minute response time
• Required to float into Main OR and OR North as needed
• Electronic Medical Record system used is Meditech; Meditech experience is preferred
• Medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Scrub color is provided

Requirements

• Active MT or compact state RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of two years recent cardiovascular OR experience
• Proficiency with cardiovascular cases as listed in case types
• Competency with placement of Swanz and central lines
• Comfort with all specialties in the OR including high-acuity neuro cases, robotics (DaVinci XI and DV5), and pediatric cases
• Teamwork skills to collaborate with surgeons, FAs, CSTs, PAs, RNs, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists
