American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg night shift assignment, requiring an IL RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in a Neuro Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Provides care to adult neurological patients
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience required
• Assignment is for 13 weeks

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required, three years preferred
• Level I trauma experience required
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing patient care using the nursing process and maintaining accurate documentation
• Must complete initial assessments and develop patient care plans in accordance with unit standards
• Expected to participate in team communication and contribute to peer development
• May not be assigned to the facility for more than one year without a six-month break in service
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
• Requested time off may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Compliance requirements must be completed by the Monday before start date
