American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Case Management position requiring 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• Position is in the Case Management department of a hospital setting
• Manages a caseload of 15-20 adult inpatient cases, including ICU, PCU, and MedSurg patients
• No pediatric, L&D, or NICU patients are included
• Uses Epic EMR, experience required
• 10-hour day shifts, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 0700-1730 or 0800-1830
• No floating required
• No on-call duties
• Holiday coverage required for 50% of holidays in the contract
• Schedule is managed in 6-week cycles
• Weekend coverage includes 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required
• At least 4 years of overall nursing experience required
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must possess knowledge of healthcare financial and reimbursement practices
• Acute care case management skills required
• Not open to first-time travelers

Additional Information

• Responsible for clinical interviewing, post-discharge planning, and providing resources for post-discharge needs
• Will receive information and support for community resources upon starting
• Works within a team of 3 RN case managers, social workers, and management support
• 1-2 days of orientation provided within department
• Dress code is Caribbean blue scrub bottoms with a white or black top, or business casual attire
• Free parking is available
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved; holiday and extended RTO require manager approval
