Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery position in a same day surgery setting, requiring CA RN license and cardiac/telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient surgery and procedural care unit
• Care provided for patients from infants to geriatrics
• Patient population includes those requiring elective procedures in Interventional Radiology, CT, Cath Lab, EP Lab, and various outpatient surgeries
• Manage pre and post-operative care, admit and recover Phase II patients, and discharge same day
• Specialized procedures include cerebral and cardiac angiograms, PCI, TAVR work-ups, pacemakers, Watchmans, PFO, ablations, IR interventions, and a range of biopsies and surgeries
• Equipment used includes EVO Radial Compression Bands, Femostops, portacaths, and stop-cocks
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Variable day shifts (5x8 hour shifts between 5:00 and 19:00)
• Floating to other units is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Recent experience in cardiac and telemetry nursing
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include preparing and recovering patients undergoing various outpatient and procedural interventions
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with procedural and surgical teams
• Patients admitted for cerebral interventions transfer to ICU post-procedure
• Support a wide range of procedural and surgical specialties including orthopedic, gynecologic, spinal, urologic, and general surgeries
• Must be able to work with a broad age range from infants through geriatrics
