Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Flex Pool night position in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and flexibility to float between units.

Details

• Work in a hospital flex pool, floating between medical, surgical, and occasionally cardiovascular units
• Night shifts, 12 hours each (1845-0715), scheduled for 36 hours per week after orientation
• Care for adult Med/Surg and Step Down patients
• Use Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and manage chest tubes
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios: Medical Unit 1:8 for nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary)
• Mandatory floating to Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units as needed

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR strongly preferred

Additional Information

• All travelers must attend Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to starting the assignment
• Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to complete pre-employment requirements
• Orientation is provided for each unit assignment
• Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs is required
• Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in place of documented immunity
