American Traveler is hiring an experienced IT Resource Manager for a mostly remote consultant role requiring expertise in healthcare IT resource planning and workforce management.

Details

• Position is mostly remote with occasional on-site sessions required
• Work within a hospital-based IT department
• Responsible for managing strategic allocation of human capital across the IT organization
• Interaction and collaboration with IT managers and project management office

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Resource Management, Workforce Planning, or PMO roles
• Demonstrated experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital IT environment
• Expertise with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software such as ServiceNow, Workfront, or Smartsheet
• Ability to analyze team capacity, skill sets, and utilization rates
• Active MA state license required at time of consideration
• Two professional references, one at manager level including a performance evaluation, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for partnering with PMO to prioritize IT initiatives based on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and ROI
• Maintain and update demand forecasts for IT projects and resourcing needs
• Develop workforce models, identify talent gaps, and manage staff utilization to ensure adequate support for both maintenance and innovation
• Monitor staff allocations to prevent overwork and support hospital system stability
• Collaborate with HR and IT leadership to identify and plan for training in emerging technologies
