Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least three years of psychiatric inpatient experience for a night shift Behavioral Health assignment requiring EPIC proficiency and BLS certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital Behavioral Health unit serving adult, geriatric, child, or adolescent populations
• Primary assignment to Behavioral Health with potential floating to Adult Behavioral Health and Geriatric units
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires four weekend shifts within a six-week period
• No call required
• Uses EPIC EMR system and experience is required
• Staffing on Geriatric Behavioral Health may involve only one RN and a couple of techs during low census
• May float to other sister units or Cone Health campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of three years of inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience in adult or geriatric behavioral health strongly preferred; child/adolescent experience also considered
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass an EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• No first-time travelers considered

Additional Information

• Provide direct care, monitoring, and support to behavioral health patients across various age groups
• Work with a multidisciplinary team that may include techs, especially on geriatric units
• Complete non-billable unit-based orientation modules averaging 2-4 hours during initial orientation
• Holiday coverage may be required as per unit needs
• Candidates are responsible for preparing for the EKG exam, as study materials are not provided
