Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with inpatient case management experience and a BSN for a hospital-based assignment in New Jersey.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital acute care setting
• Focus on inpatient case management within the care management department
• Work schedule is 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend coverage required
• EPIC is used for charting
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• At least 2 years of acute care experience strongly preferred
• Inpatient case management experience is required
• Prior experience with managed care preferred
• Current CCMC certification preferred
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location

Additional Information

• Coordinate patient care throughout acute care hospitalization
• Manage all aspects of discharge planning and the transition process
• Perform utilization management and quality screenings
• Assignment may not exceed one calendar year from initial start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returning
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen processing before assignment start
• Adherence to all documentation deadlines is strictly enforced
