American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse with wound and ostomy care experience for a weekday Wound Care position requiring an active IL RN license.

Details

• Position located in a hospital-based dedicated Wound Care unit
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 13-week assignment with no weekend or holiday shifts
• Directly provides wound, ostomy, and continence nursing care

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand for consideration
• Direct wound care experience preferred
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be accepted
• Must not have prior permanent employment at any University of Chicago location within the past 7 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include wound identification, dressing wounds, writing wound care orders, and educating nursing staff
• No call and no weekend duties are expected
• Orientation modules are required and completed during onboarding and annually
• Former staff from UCM, Ingalls, or any University of Chicago location must have a 7-month gap before returning as a traveler
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
