American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position in an acute care setting requiring a WV or compact RN license and Cath Lab experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab with two suites
• Patient population includes those requiring diagnostic heart caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemakers, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, venograms, and other cardiac procedures
• Average caseload is 5 to 10 cases per day
• Shifts include either three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call required: up to seven days per four-week schedule, with one week of on-call from Monday 7am to the following Monday 7am or weekend on-call
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Charting is completed using Epic EMR
• Siemens equipment and software are used in the lab
• No regular floating required, but optional extra hours available in other units with experience
• Surgical attire is required and provided; lead aprons are not provided

Requirements

• Active WV or multi-state compact RN license required at time of application
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of one year of Cath Lab or Radiology Tech experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Ability to take 30-minute call response during designated on-call times
• Experience with sterile technique is required; EKOS experience preferred but training available

Additional Information

• RNs circulate, sedate, and complete documentation for various cath lab procedures
• Department provides a general hospital orientation and a week or up to 36 hours of department-specific orientation
• Call requirements include participation in a rotational holiday call schedule
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be considered for the traveler role
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location within the last two years are not eligible
• Travelers may not work at WVU facilities for longer than one year without taking a two-year break
