American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and 2 years of unit experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Required to work on department 6204
• Must use Cerner EMR system
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Must not live within a 25-mile radius

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand for consideration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA only)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification mandated for this position
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital RN experience in the United States required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references verifying recent experience

• Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments with proper documentation
• Apply principles of growth and development to provide safe and appropriate care
• Work requires interpreting patient information and determining specific nursing needs

• SSN, driver's license, and copies of certifications are required for consideration
