American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Texas with Epic charting experience and strict radius requirements.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department within an acute care hospital
• Options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 1 pm to 1 am
• Average RN patient load is 4-6 hours per module
• Documentation is completed using Epic EMR, and prior Epic experience is required
• Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as travelers

Additional Information

• Core responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care and documentation in Epic EMR
• Required to complete onsite orientation modules; all module hours are billable and tracked via transcripts
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and none are permitted during orientation or on holidays
• Solo travelers only; travel pairs or groups are not accepted
• First time travelers may be considered
