American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Partum position requiring a MA RN license, night shifts, and recent Epic and postpartum experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital postpartum unit with 13 beds and a 4-bed continuing care nursery
• Care for postpartum patients following both vaginal and c-section deliveries, including those with magnesium or postpartum hemorrhage
• Primary patient population includes postpartum mothers and newborns
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am), three shifts per week
• Requires working every other weekend and every other major holiday
• No floating or on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not allowed
• Uses Epic EMR system and a variety of postpartum care equipment including IV pumps, panda warmers, and Medela breast pumps

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent postpartum nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS and NRP required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Acute care experience in a postpartum setting required
• Must provide two charge/supervisor references from a postpartum specialty within the past 1-2 years
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Radius rule applies; within 50 miles local candidates will be considered at the local rate
• Flu vaccine required during flu season

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including medication administration (IV antibiotics, magnesium, PRBC, rhogam, lovenox)
• Participate in hospital orientation for 3 days plus 3 days of unit-based training
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available
• Up to 5 days of requested time off can be accommodated if declared at the time of consideration
• Scrubs of any color are allowed; hospital scrubs are provided
