Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring recent large hospital and open heart OR experience.

Details

• Position is in the hospital OR on a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) team
• Rotating 12-hour day and evening shifts with flexibility required
• Call requirement includes one to two weekday overnight calls and one full weekend call every 5 weeks
• Must perform both scrub and circulate roles
• May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.)
• Care provided to complex cardiovascular surgical patients in a large, academic, teaching hospital (500+ beds)
• Epic EMR used; recent experience within the past 2 years required

Requirements

• Active VT or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience, including recent high competency in cardiovascular/open heart surgeries
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a large (500+ beds), academic teaching hospital required
• Recent experience (within 2 years) with Epic EMR is mandatory
• Must be able to scrub and circulate

Additional Information

• No block scheduling available for any reason
• Orientation dates are bi-weekly on Mondays
• Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not available in the area
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April
• Must be flexible in scheduling to meet unit and patient care needs
• Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
